Student ID Card

A Student ID card is a multi-functional smart card. It may be used at the Central Library (for entry and book check-out) and as a prepaid check card at cafeterias and campus stores. In case of loss or damage, a replacement may be applied for at the Student Service Center (located on the 3rd floor of the Main Hall, Tel. 02-2260-8662) upon arrival on campus.

Required documents

• A completed Student ID Card application form
• A copy of the passport
• One photo (3 × 4 cm)

* For exchange students, international office will issue it with your picture received along with your exchange application and distribute during the orientation.

Buddy Programs

To help international students adapt to life in Korea and on campus, and to offer academic support, Dongguk University runs the following student Buddy programs. Through these programs, international students can interact with Dongguk University students, learn about Korean culture and language, and build friendships.

DGLAM(Dongguk Global Ambassador)

DGLAM is a global ambassador group composed of international students enrolled in degree programs at Dongguk University. DGLAM promotes Dongguk University worldwide by introducing its academic programs, campus culture, and student life in Korea through multilingual content, and supports admissions promotion both online and offline.

DISSA(Dongguk International Student Supporters Association)

DISSA is a group of Dongguk University student supporters for exchange students from partner universities. Its members organize a variety of events for exchange students each month. They also lead cultural experiences and host campus activities to help students connect and engage with one another.

International Student Buddhist Club(Globuldong)

Globuldong is an international student Buddhist club at Dongguk University, whose name reflects Global, Buddhism, and Buddy. The club seeks to foster a worldwide community where members learn, share, and grow together, guided by the teachings of the Buddha and transcending borders and cultures.
