Introduction
The Major of Police Administration is committed to providing professional training, education, service, and research in the fields of criminal justice. As the department with the longest history in the sphere of Korean public safety, Police Administration strives to offer the skills of moral judgment, innovative problem solving, and effective crime prevention in the fields of policing, criminology, correction, fire/forensic science, and related public service.
It seeks to prepare students for professional careers of work and scholarship in criminal justice and related areas. In fact, the Major has produced approximately 1,400 graduates so far, particularly in areas related to national police service, the national intelligence section, the military investigative organization, private security services, criminal law and judicial organizations, and research institutions.
The Major strives for public safety by instilling in students the highest ideals of ethical commitment and professional capability to address the challenges of crime prevention.
