2025 Application Guidelines of Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees

2025 정부초청 외국인 대학원 장학생 모집 요강

●Program Objectives

Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academicdegrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

※As Korean Government Scholarship Programs have been integrated and branded as Global Korea Scholarship in 2010, the name is changed to GKS(Global Korea Scholarship).

●Number of Expected Grantees

In 2024, Korean Government's Global Korea Scholarship program aims to invite 2,200international students who wish to pursue a graduate level degree (master's or doctoral) or research in Korea.

●Eligibility & Required Documents

Please first check the "2025 GKS-G Application Guidelines(모집요강)", "2025 GKS-G Overview of University(Dongguk Univ.)", and "2025 GKS-G Available Departments(Dongguk Univ.)" and attached files below to learn about the list of countries invited to take part in our program, qualifications, available universities and majors, application procedures, application forms, and further more.

●Selection Procedures(University Track)

To be selected as a GKS (KGSP) grantee, an applicant must successfully pass the 1st round of selection managed by the Korean embassywhere he or she holds the citizenship or NIIED-designated Korean universities.

●Application Deadline : April 6, 2025
