School of Interdisciplinary Studies
School of Interdisciplinary Studies
Educational objectives
The School of Interdisciplinary Studies offers a differentiated regular curriculum, including creative innovation and convergence-based liberal arts education courses and major exploration, as well as a variety of non-curricular programs such as competency development, career aptitude exploration and counseling, and club activities, all over the course of one year.
The curriculum of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies is not limited to just one year of liberal arts education; it is systematically integrated with the entire four-year university education program. Dongguk University's undergraduate education innovation model, the [M_IN_T Stage Model], begins with a liberal arts curriculum based on diversity (Multi), progresses through a multi-major curriculum that understands the commonality between academic fields (Inter), and culminates in finding universal solutions to problems based on the convergence of knowledge (Trans).
